Research- Look of Characters
As
we are coming very close to actually carrying out the project of creating a
horror trailer, it is important for us to start looking into key elements such
as the looks of characters. I have looked online on sites such as YouTube to
get a better idea of how the villain for my trailer should look. Although I came
across a number of different looks, this one interested me. This video gave me
ideas which I felt linked well to the villain in our narrative. A common
convention witnessed in horror is that ghosts are shown with pale skin. I will
be thinking about what aspects of this video would be good to use while
creating my own horror trailer.
Chucky Haloween Day Prank
Here, we can see how a marketing strategy has been used to attract audience and promote the horror movie. The reason i felt this was effective was because the method used was different to other methods and it really stood out. Apart from that, the way the prank was carried out fit well with the horror genre as it scared the audiences, and this is the reaction they want from the film.
