Looking at Horror Film Posters

What is Horror?

As a class, in our media lesson we all brainstormed what ‘horror’ actually is. According to Google the definition of ‘horror’ is as follows;

We noted down some conventions of a typical horror movie;
Blood, Death, Scare-factor, Menacing characters, Forest, Scary old big house, Mystery, Damsel in distress, Heroic person, Darkness, Unusual sounds, Gore, Weapons, Ghost, Shadows.

Insidious

As I am not a fan of Horror, I felt it is important to get a better feel of what I need to expect from horror movies. For this reason I decided to watch one myself. The movie I chose was ‘Insidious’. After watching it I wrote up a review about it.
